Who is the Beast?

As time continues to move forward, and the world continues to change and morph into what many are beginning to see as the "Days of Noah", everyone seems to be looking for the antichrist. Various leaders throughout the world have been hinted at as possibly being the one. Is it the leader of Syria? Is it the leader of Iran? What about Russia, Turkey, or Saudi Arabia? Perhaps the antichrist will be a religious leader like a Caliphate, Ayatollah, or the Pope. Maybe he is our very own POTUS?

Some of these actually appear to be viable candidates for this role. You can see that some of these leaders are bent on destroying their own countries, which may help to herald this antichrist. These are NOT the antichrist!

We may be able to look in Revelation 17:17 for an explanation of their behavior...

17-For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

These might rather be some of the 10 horns, or kings, that will give their strength and power to the beast. It looks as though they might be willing to sacrifice their own countries in order to receive a larger piece of the pie when reigning with the beast, or perhaps even fill a position such as "Secretary-General of the U.N.".

We have also been taught through the years that the antichrist might be the White Horseman of the apocalypse that gets released when the first seal is broken. The problem here is that the word "antichrist" doesn't appear in the book of Revelation. To state that the White Horseman is the antichrist is fallacy. There is only the beast. So the beast and the antichrist are the same. The White Horseman appears in the beginning of an assumed 7 year tribulation period whereas the beast appears in the middle with a shelf life of only 3 and 1/2 years.

Revelation 17:8 (KJV)

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 17:10 (KJV)

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

This involves a little history. Author Peter Goodgame of Red Moon Rising has compiled a list of what he calls the 7 kings of Satan: 5 have fallen, 1 now is (Nero), 1 has a short reign (Hitler).

  1. Nimrod - The first world leader, built Babylon and Assyria
  2. Pharaoh of Egypt
  3. King of Assyria - Sennacherib
  4. King of Tyre
  5. Antiochus Epiphanes
  6. Nero of Rome
  7. Adolf Hitler
  8. The Beast - is of the seven

Each of these demonstrate attributes of the antichrist and are marked by violence, hatred towards God and His people, and blasphemy towards God. Researcher Rob Skiba (author of Babylon Rising) applies Revelation 13:3 to this list and asks which of these had a deadly head wound?

The book of Jasher (an extra-biblical ancient text) tells us that Esau ambushed and cut the head off of Nimrod, defeated a few of Nimrod's "mighty men", returned home exhausted and promptly sold his birthright to his brother Jacob for a bowl of soup.

Does Nimrod, also known as Apollo - a derivative of Apollyon, play a role as the beast? Or even as the image of the beast, in which the second beast has the power to give life unto? Could this be a resurrection?

The beast is a fallen angel that is released from the bottomless pit (Rev. 9:11), is here for only 3 and 1/2 years, is given authority from Satan, and his mission is to make war with the saints and overcome them.

Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with the beast? How do you fight an Angel??!!
